Ember is a personal AI memory app. Your privacy is our priority.
All your notes, people, and memories are stored locally on your device. We do not store your personal notes or memories on our servers.
Your data is automatically backed up to your personal Google account via Android Auto Backup. This backup is encrypted by Google and accessible only to you.
When you add a note, its content is sent to Google Gemini AI for processing (extracting events, tasks, and context). This processing is real-time — we do not store your note content on our servers after processing is complete.
Voice recordings are transcribed using Groq's Whisper API. Audio is processed in real-time and never stored.
We store the following in our database:

Ember is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
